WINDJAMMER OWNERSHIP TYPES
The Windjammer resort offers three different types of ownerships. Year Around Floats, In Season Floats and fixed Holidays.
YEAR AROUND FLOATS (YAF)
Year around float ownership offers the ability to reserve any week, every year. This means that you can reserve a RED, WHITE OR BLUE week, subject to availability. If you want to reserve RED time then you must reserve your week two years in advance. All reservations are granted on a first come first served basis. In order to reserve and confirm a RED week, you must call 360-289-9353 two years in advance, on a Saturday morning starting at 10:00 AM, the first person who calls receives what is wanted subject to availability. There is only one telephone number that is acceptable to make reservations. In order to receive a confirmation you must pay the appropriate annual maintenance fees. There are 51 owners in each unit and in each unit there are 23 RED weeks, 10 WHITE weeks and 18 BLUE weeks. Every YAF owner will receive a week, what week depends on availability. if you request your reservation later than December 15th of the prior year you may not receive a week. The Windjammer has two efficiency YAF units, four one-bedroom YAF units and three two-bedroom YAF units.
IN SEASON FLOATS (ISF)
There are three seasons at the Windjammer, Red (summer), White (spring and fall) and Blue (winter). ISF Owners own the right to reserve a week in the season they purchase. If you purchase a RED ownership then you have the right to reserve any week in the RED season, from May 25th to October 14th with the exception of Memorial week, 4th of July week or Labor Day week. If you purchase a WHITE ownership you have the right to reserve any week in the WHITE season, from April 1st to May 24th and from October 15th to October 31st. If you purchase a BLUE ownership you have the right to reserve any week in the BLUE season from January 1st to March 31st and from November 1st to December 19th with the exception of Presidents' week and Thanksgiving week. You will always receive a week if you reserve it at least one month prior to the start of the season that you own. There are five one-bedroom ISF units, four two-bedroom ISF units, three Casita ISF units and two Villa ISF units.
FIXED HOLIDAYS (FH)
Fixed Holiday weeks are the weeks around the holidays. There are seven fixed holiday weeks; Presidents, Memorial, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. If an owner purchases a fixed holiday week they will use that unit and week every year for as long as they own the week. Generally holiday weeks have a higher demand both at the Windjammer and through RCI. There are five one-bedroom FH units, four two-bedroom FH units, three Casita FH units and two Villa FH units.
MAINTENANCE TIME
There are 52 weeks in a year. To provide clean and properly maintained units the Windjammer only sells 51 ownership weeks. The 52nd week is used to deep clean each unit. The maintenance week is chosen at random during the Blue season, there fore only 16 Blue in season float weeks and only 51 year around float weeks are available.
RESERVATIONS AND RULES
Reservations may be made up to two years in advance, however, in order to reserve and receive a confirmation the annual maintenance fee must be paid. The check in/out day for Casita Units is Saturday. The check in/out day for Villa Units is Sunday. Owners and guests can check in at or after 4:00 pm and the check out time is at or before 10:00 am. Office hours are from 8:00 to 9:00 pm every day of the week. Absolutely NO PETS are allowed. Occupancy levels are strictly enforced. Maintenance fees are payable every year.
